Mild Home Project
ABOUT THE PROJECT
During the planning we took into consideration besides the economic aspects the ecological, the social and the ethical aspects as well, because sustainable architecture applies not only to the specific building, but also to its wider environment. We prepared a plan which has a beneficial effect to its surroundings that does not emit any harmful substances, and gives a pleasant environment for the residents. Our plan covers the economic aspects such as low cost, high efficiency, risk reduction, profitability, and the eco-design approach (life-cycle analysis, material efficiency, energy efficiency, recycling, use of renewable resources, mobility, autonomy) and the criteria of social utility (job creation, quality and healthy work environment, accessibility etc. Among the above mentioned sustainability aspects, we chose as the most important to create ideal and liveable homes (with variable layout according to the residents’/owners’ needs). The most important part of the design was to consider the changing and the time. A main part of our concept was the restitution of a new-old family philosophy. According to this, the older people become an active part of the life of their families and of the housing estate. Taking advantage of the extension of the parenthood, the grandparents would look after the grandchildren and help around the house. Most of our residential buildings have been designed to be suitable for several generations living together.Having analysed the environment, we realized that in the area can be found many functions that can serve the residents. Therefore the installation is not integrally linked into the environment. So, we have enabled that the planned housing developments can be sited anywhere.
